Rev. Matt Ryman was born right here, in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. After spending time in states across the country – most recently Florida – Matt was called back to this area to plant Trinity Church Wayzata (TCW). He serves as Founding Pastor and Church Planter of this growing congregation. Having been involved in planting churches similar in mission and approach, Matt feels blessed to continue this work in the place he’s always considered home.
Matt has been in pastoral ministry for nearly 20 years. He earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2009 from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and was subsequently ordained by the Presbyterian Church in America. Since then, he’s served in a variety of different roles, from ministry director to assistant pastor to associate pastor to lead pastor. Currently, in addition to leading TCW, Matt is working on a doctoral degree, serving as the chairman of the Missions Committee (overseeing church planting and world missions) for the Sioiuxlands Presbytery of the PCA, serving on the Steering Commitee of TGC Twin Cities, and serving as a ministry coach for several pastors and ministry leaders.
Matt and his wife, Hana, have four great kids and one loyal dog. The entire Ryman family is very excited about the future of Trinity Church Wayzata. They hope you’ll be a part of it, too!
